IDEA: A virtual institute for data compilation and modeling in the fields of atomic and radiation physics. Established in 1999

ISAAC: A virtual institute to study the interaction between scientific and artistic cultures, i.e., "the two cultures split into two poles," as described by C. P. Snow. Established in 2004
